"Jean Pierre Serrier" was a very important 20th century French painter that had several of his paintings published on the covers of fine art magazines, along with Newsweek and Time. One of his paintings was auctioned at Butterfields, San Francisco, Ca. USA , lot 6182, page 102 of the catalogue, October 29, 1998. Price realized USD $6000.00 . This painting of a woman in front of a window measures 7 and one half inches by 13 inches and is signed J. P. Serrier on the lower right.
