Large early 18th c English portrait of a Gentleman with surveying transit oil on canvas. Wonderful painting of a handsome well dressed gentleman holding a piece of paper with pen next to his surveying transit.This antique painting has come to us from a local estate. Good as found estate condition with some old restoration. The frame measures 41 by 47 inches and the painting measures 25 by 40 and one half inches.

French J. Dodd House in a Park watercolour landscape painting 1837. This wonderful landscape watercolor depicts a large estate with horse, people, cows, horses, haystacks and a church in the distance. This watercolour was painted by J Dodd of Paris in 1837. Dodd exhibited from 1832 through 1839. The original birdseye maple frame measures 20 and one half inches by 15 and one quarter inches and the watercolor measures 12 and one half by 18 inches. 19th c family record watercolor on paper 1801 to 1892. This family record mentions family births, marraiages and deaths. The color is quite strong depicting flowers, birds,and leaves. Wonderful condition for its age, no tears or repairs. The orignal frame is fair condition, some of its veneer has come off. This American Folk Art family record measures 16 and one half by 21 and one half inches.
