Renaissance Italian portrait of lady in giltwood frame. The painting measures 5 and one quarter by 3 and one half inches. The original frame measures 10 by 17 inches. The condition is the painting is quite good. The original frame has some areas where the frame is missing pieces. The brass plaque reads Ecole FLAMANDE XV SLECLE.

Roelofs Willem Dutch landscape oil painting on canvas c1859 depicting a woman walking along side a river near her home. Born in Amsterdam 10 Maart 1822 died in Antwerpen mei 1897. He studied with H Van de Zande Bakhuyzen at the Hague Academy in Brussels 1847 to 1887. He came under the influence of the French painters of the Barbizon School, Dabigny and especially T H Tousaeau. Know for his water and meadow scenes. This oil on canvas is all original, without damage or repairs. Measures 16 and one quarter inches by 12 inches. Watercolor gouche on paper city park scene by Canadian artist Jean Paul Lemieux. Measures 24 by 18 inches. To see a work watercolour, gouache, of similar style that Lemieux painted on holiday in Florida in 1971 see Ritchies and Sotheby's lot 164 sale date November 20 th 2006 dated 1971 in Toronto Ontario Canada which sold for 13,000 Canadian dollars and measured 14 by 17 inches. Condition: There are some areas (which we clearly show in the extra photographs provided) that have surface damage from silver fish at one time. There is only one area that this is evident in the painted part of the painting. The others are in plain unpainted areas. His work is in the National Gallery of Canada, McCord Museum of Canadian History Montreal Quebec McMichael Canadian Art Collection, Muse'e du Que'bec, Virtual Museum of Canada.
